Welcome to the website for Fontana Village Disc Golf Course near Fontana Dam, NC .  This beautiful layout was conceived and installed in the summer of 2007 by Pat Farrell, of DiscConcepts.  The ability to rent a gas-powered golf cart allows players to focus all of their energy on throwing disc, and comes in handy given the moderate to significant elevation gain/loss on the course.  This unique characteristic allows for as many rounds as your noodle-arm can handle. 

Another unique characteristic of Fontana Disc Golf Course is the lodging adjacent to the course.  Come for an overnight trip, and stay in the Lodge.  Or, stay in a Garden room overlooking Hole 1.   There are also a few cabins overlooking part of the course if this is more your speed.  Just let our customer associate know what your interest is when making lodging inquiries.

Upcoming Tournament News: The Smoky Mountain Throwdown IV Doubles Tournament will be held April 10, 2011 with the player's meeting at 1:00 pm at the shelter across from the Rec Hall, just look for the Innova banner hanging on a shelter.   Entry cost is $20/team.    We will have a Brown Ale and an Extra Pale Ale from Nantahala Brewing out of Bryson City, NC.  A beer tent will be setup near the hole 15 tee, $10 to drink from the keg.
